British Paralympics Association Talent Day - 25 October 2007
The British Paralympic Association (BPA) is running a Talent ID day at Loughborough University on the 25th October 1300 – 1800hrs. The purpose of this day is to try and point potential talent to a Paralympic Sport(s) that they may succeed in.The event will be by invitation only!
Do you know anyone who may be interested? If so, click here to download a questionnaire, fill it in and return it to the BPA. Each applicant, if suitable, will receive an invitation. The event is not meant to be totally exclusive and recommendations from you will be welcomed.
The following guidelines have been put in place to help you locate the population they are interested in.
Groups – Blind and Visually Impaired : Amputees : CP : Spinal Injuries
The Age range to impact London: 16 – 30 yrs
Attendees must have experience in some sort of regular training
People with minimal disabilities
Females we will look at 15 year olds
Exceptional physical characteristics – Large frame, Long Arm Span, Tall Sitting Height, Strong, Fast
People playing none Paralympic sports that would like to take up another sport
Sports attending the day:
Athletics
Archery
Boccia
Powerlifting
Shooting
Table-tennis
Wheelchair Fencing
Wheelchair Rugby
Judo
Adaptive Skiing
Football (VI and CP)
Goalball
Sitting Volleyball
Please give potential athletes a copy of the questionnaire, that is to be returned to Tabo Huntley at the BPA by email or post as soon as possible.
