Fancy a shot at Netball?

 

Fenton Manor Netball Club is after new members for both its junior and senior teams.

 

The club meet on Mondays and Thursdays at Fenton Manor Sports Complex and they hold a range of sessions for different ages and abilities.

 

Head Netball Coach, Alicia Watson says, ‘We’re looking for a variety of players; children, teenagers and seniors. It’s a great sport that is fun, exciting and importantly keeps you fit! In the sessions we learn new skills and techniques and play games. If you want to come and see what we’re about the first taster session is free.

 

'For people who want to play competitively we have several teams and now is the perfect time to join as we’re just starting the new season. Last season our U14s team came 6^th in a national competition and our U16s team won their competitions locally and went on to compete at a regional level. We’re hoping for similar successes this year.'

 

Monday sessions are from 5pm – 6pm for 6 – 11 years olds and 5pm – 7pm for 12 – 15 year olds. Thursday sessions are from 6pm – 7pm for 12 – 16 year olds and from 7pm – 8pm for those 16+. Sessions cost £2.50 for one hour and £3 for two hours.
