Sports Development launches its 2010-2011 'Go For It' brochure!
Stafford Sports Development team have recently launched their new 2010-2011 'Go For It' sports courses brochure.
As we come to the end of a very successful summer sports development programme, we launch our new weekly sports course brochure ‘Go For It’!
The ‘Go For It’ brochure contains courses in football, basketball, hockey, multi skills, athletics and tennis as well as dates and times for the mobile skate park. The courses on offer are available to children from the age of 5 up to adults depending on the sport.
These weekly sports courses take place on various days throughout the week and many run until the middle of 2011. The courses are ran by highly qualified and CRB checked coaches who have had a wealth of experience in working with the Sports Development team.
For the first time ever, the mobile skate park will be in Rowley Park after school for 12 dates throughout the coming year from 4pm – 6pm. 10 - 14 year olds will be able to use the park for just £1 per week.

Summer Mobile Skate Park
Stafford Borough Council in partnership with the Children’s Fund delivered a Mobile Skate Park project during the summer holidays. The park visited 5 different venues across the Stafford Borough area attracting over 150 young people in total.
The 5 areas visited for a week each were Anson Primary School in Great Haywood, Springfields First School in Yarnfield, Weston Village Hall, Flash Ley Primary School, Stafford and Haughton St Giles Primary School.
The skate park, aimed at 8 – 16 year olds, was split into 2 sessions, younger ones in the morning and older ones in the afternoon. Both sessions were popular with beginners along with the more experienced skaters and bikers. There was also a lot more girls who attended than usual too.
The mobile skate park will be visiting the same areas again during the October half term spending a day at each site, all information will be available in our October Get Out brochure or on the Borough Council website www.staffordbc.gov.uk/sportsdevelopment.
