Great Value Sports Coaching [from £2]
The Sports Development Team at Stafford Borough Council have re-launched their great value ongoing sports coaching sessions.
Kicking off on Saturday mornings from 9.00am to 10.30am is football coaching for 5 to 10 year olds. These sessions, led by FA qualified coaches will take place at Alleyne’s Sports Centre, Stone and are an ideal way for youngsters to improve football skills and techniques. Price £4 per session – simply turn up and complete an application form.
Also on Monday evenings is athletics coaching for 8 to 15 year olds at Rowley Park Sports Stadium, Stafford. Run as part of Cannock and Stafford Athletics Club, these coaching sessions are ideal for those interested in developing multi-event techniques and improving specific event fitness. Price £2 per session – simply turn up and complete an application form.

Get Out! This School Holiday
Children can enjoy a wide range of fun activities this October Half Term (from Monday 24 October) with Stafford Borough Council’s Get Out! programme…
The Sports Development team will be delivering top class football, athletics and tennis coaching as well as all-day fun with the popular Sports of All Sorts club. Online booking is available for the Sports Development courses this school holiday!
8 to 16 years olds can show off their skills and tricks on the indoor mobile skate park.
There’s fun for all the family with a packed pool programme at Stafford Leisure Centre (FREE swims for children 16 years and under weekdays 11am – 12noon and 3pm – 3.30pm), plus the H-Zone interactive children’s gym and trampoline and gymnastics coaching.
Exciting pool activities are available at Alleyne’s Sports Centre (with FREE swims for children 16 years and under 10am – 12noon weekdays) including the popular Water Walkers and new snorkelling course. There will also be the fun-packed all-day Active-8 sessions, the big Tuesday night dance-off and trampoline coaching.
Hallowe’en workshops will be available at Scary Stafford Castle and the Haunted Ancient High House.
