Staffordshire Football Association is fully committed to establishing the required support structures for the development of football across the County. Our aims are clear:

To increase participation at all levels
Provide a clear vision for the future of grassroots football
To raise the standards of football in an inclusive and safe environment

Over the past few years, together with our key partners we have reached some key achievements:

Around 2250 affiliated teams
65 Charter Standard Clubs, 16 Charter Standard Adult Clubs, 11 Charter Standard Development Clubs and 16 Charter Standard Community Clubs
38 affiliated leagues
£9.1 million has been spent on facilities through the Football Foundation invested so far in Staffordshire
687 Registered Referees
Around 400 people annually attending the Level 1 CCF course

Girls Football

This year has seen the launch of our new strategy for 2008-2012.

The strategy is set around four key goals (Growth & retention, Raising Standards, Better Players and Running the Game) and three enablers (Workforce, Facilities and Marketing & Promotion).

All aspects of the game are covered through these areas and should ensure that football in Staffordshire continues to grow and prosper. We have some important challenges ahead of us and some key targets to reach by 2012. To do this it is essential we continue to engage and work with all of our key stakeholders to help us achieve our goals.
