Football

Staffordshire Football Association is fully committed to establishing the required support structures for the development of football across the County. Our aims are clear: 

• To increase participation at all levels
• Provide a clear vision for the future of grassroots football
• To raise the standards of football in an inclusive and safe environment

Over the past few years, together with our key partners we have reached some key achievements:

• Around 2250 affiliated teams
• 65 Charter Standard Clubs, 16 Charter Standard Adult Clubs, 11 Charter Standard Development Clubs and 16 Charter Standard Community Clubs
• 38 affiliated leagues
• £9.1 million has been spent on facilities through the Football Foundation invested so far in Staffordshire
• 687 Registered Referees
• Around 400 people annually attending the Level 1 CCF course

This year has seen the launch of our new strategy for 2008-2012.

The strategy is set around four key goals (Growth & retention, Raising Standards, Better Players and Running the Game) and three enablers (Workforce, Facilities and Marketing & Promotion).
