Academy Netball
Netball Talent in Staffordshire...
There are three Satellite Academies (under 14 North and South, U16) and one County Academy (under 16).
The academies train twice a month to improve their skill level. The squads are coached by a coaching team mixed with experienced and knowledgable coaches who then help mentor and develop new coaches. Players are provided with the best coaches, facilities and equipment in the county and are expected to attend every training session in order to improve and achieve their best.
Trials take place every Summer for the forthcoming season. Schools and clubs nominate players forward for their age groups.
Athletes that show the greatest levels of potential, that are commited to training and show consistent improvement will be put forward by their coaches into a regional screening day which could potentially then lead onto national talent camps.
