Volunteer Co-ordinator

We continually refer to community sports clubs as having a lack of volunteer helpers.
Is this the truth or are we just not utilising the volunteer helpers that we already have?

To ensure that we get the most out of our volunteers we must make sure that they have clearly defined roles and receive the support that they may require to carry out their duties. Sports clubs would benefit by identifying a Volunteer Coordinator. In their role the Volunteer Coordinator would be responsible for ensuring that all volunteers are aware of their roles and the commitment required. They would be able to identify any duplication of roles and how additional volunteers could be best used. Once this system is in place sports clubs should be better equipped to recruit and retain future volunteer helpers.
