To launch Staffordshire Moorlands District Community Sports Network (CSN) a wide range of organisations from the public, voluntary and sports sectors were invited to take part in two workshops. The aim was to establish the level of support for a Community Sports Network and who should be involved. Both the Sports clubs and wider attending partners agreed Staffordshire Moorlands would benefit from having a Community Sports Network. They also agreed that this network should be called Staffordshire Activity Network.
