Step into Sport is an exciting initiative which encourages more young people to become involved in sport in their local communities. Funded by the Department for Culture Media and Sport and the Home Office Active Communities Unit, it brings together the British Sports Trust, the Youth Sport Trust and Sport England to provide a structured path to attract people into rewarding sports volunteering and to deploy their experience and talents to enrich local community and school sport.
Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent is supporting students from North Stoke, South Stoke, Cannock and Rugeley, Biddulph, South Staffordshire, Lichfield and Stafford areas to take up appropriate placements within the community throughout the 2006 and 2007 academic year.
