Coach Scholarship Scheme

Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent (SASSOT) recognises that having a fit for purpose coaching workforce is central to successfully developing and delivering sport.  One of the key objectives of the SASSOT Workforce Plan is to build the capacity of the coaching workforce in the sub region. Following a successful application to CIF SASSOT is able to offer financial support through this Coach Scholarship Programme to its partners to help train and develop more coaches.

 

Since its introduction in 2008 the SASSOT Coach Scholarship Scheme has provided £33,000 to support over 400 coaches and officials gain new qualifications. SASSOT is delighted to announce that an additional £20,000 has been secured to support this scheme over the next financial year.

 

The maximum grant that can be applied for per organisation is £2,000 based on SASSOT funding up to 50% or £300 per qualification whichever comes first. All applications need to come via either a National Governing Body, local authority or the School Sport Partnership.
